The Hajj and Umrah Roadshow 2007 brings in over 1000 visitors to its events
At its close, the
The Roadshow was organised for future pilgrims to make Hajj and Umrah a more easy process. The show gave the Muslim public the opportunity to plan and prepare for their trip more thoroughly, a one-stop-shop to meet the many needs when going for pilgrimage. Bringing together travel companies with the required credentials to sell specialised group packages and other products and services including guidebooks, and clothing also present were organisations targeting other pilgrimage needs such as the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) promoting their personal food import campaign.
Importantly as part of the Roadshow, the event consisted of a set of talks covering the varying aspects of pilgrimage including the practicalities of Hajj and Umrah, talks by medical professionals on health awareness and a presentation on safety during Hajj by The Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. The purpose of the talks was to educate the future pilgrims on health, safety and practical issues, leaving them time to put all their energy into worship without having to waste time dealing with avoidable issues.
